History of Lyons High School
(With your help, we hope to use this section of the website to preserve the rich history of Lyons High School. Our information is very skimpy right now, and consists of just a few recollections, but we hope to get an "A" on this research project before we are done.)
The earliest date that we know for sure Lyons High School existed is 1908, when it was housed in a three story building on the present site of the Toombs County Board of Education on US Hwy # 1 North. Click here to see a 1908 picture of the original LHS.
